How to Find Burnham-on-Crouch

Access 1: Head towards Burnham-on-Crouch, head towards the 'Marina' or 'Ferry', this is to the West of the town. There is car park here, although it is quite a walk to the actually site. Walk Westwards along the coastal path and you will get to Creeksea Slipway. You need to walk over and around the creek via the foreshore, this can be muddy and there are planks for easy access. Be sure to check tide times or you could have problems getting back. Follow this round, past the second slipway and you can gain access to meet the main river bank footpath.

Access 2: Alternatively, you can drive to Creeksea, but parking is limited to between November and March along the narrow road with restrictions in force outside this time. There are one or two parking spaces before the 'Yellow Line area', but space is very limited, if you have been lucky enough to find spaces, follow the road down and before the yellow line restrictions is a footpath, follow this footpath around the back of the houses and it will lead onto the main river bank path.

From the main bank footpath, follow all the way round, this is a long walk, you will see another slipway before eventually coming to a wooded area with clay exposed on the foreshore, after the marsh's end, tucked hidden away further along this foreshore is the cliffs, but collecting is best done on the foreshore.
